Trust

So this year at VBS I learned something new. I thankfully got to work with my friend Courtney! If you do not know who she is, read the blog below this one.

Like I said, I got to help her last week. I led her everywhere. I helped with craft and music time which is her favorite! Rec time I would tell her how to play and would aid in anyway she needed. On Friday, Courtney got to go through a fire truck, ambulance, and police car! Her favorite was sitting on top of the cop's motorcycle =]

While helping led her everywhere it kinda hit me. She has been putting her complete trust in me. She trust that I won't run her into anything, I won't mislead her during craft of rec time. She has to completely trust me and know I won't do any of that. Never did she question if I was taking her the right way. Never did she show fear in where we were going.

Shouldn't that be how we are? Trusting in God to lead us where we should go. I know my two biggest problems in trusting people and worrying. But we're suppose to trust in God and know He will take us where we need to go. He will guide us without fault. He wont lead us in the wrong direction unless we ourselves stop putting our trust in Him.

Something else that was cool was that Courtney could tell when the lights were off. When it was our lesson time, Courtney would walk through the door and turn to her right and flip the light switch. She is blind and yet she could see the light.

Sometimes I think we can blind to what God could really use us for. And sometimes we just need that light switch to be flipped.

Courtney also could tell from pretty far away that a door was closed. Ha one time we were walking and she out of the blue she said,"ugh oh! I will need to open the door when we get closer!" I was shocked bc we had never discussed what she could 'see' and what not. But she could tell when a door was not open. And she always liked to be the one to open it and hold it for anyone who needed to pass through.

We need to realize that when there is a door God has placed infront of us, we need to open it. We need to be like courtney in many ways but the main way that spoke to me was in trusting.

She didn't just trust me sometimes, she trust me all the time. She didn't ask questions in whether or not I was leading her the right way, she just went.

I'm speaking to myself when I say... It's time we completely trust in God and just go where He leads.
